The Cody Thompson Sunshine Scholarship

On January 28, 2021 From A Dancer's Pointe lost one of our own. Cody Thompson was a student at From A Dancer’s Pointe and a ray of sunshine who brought joy through his love of dance. Cody had an infectious smile and personality that lit up the room. Cody was a wonderful person that we will always cherish!

In honor of Cody's memory his family and From A Dancer's Pointe has established a scholarship fund in his honor. The scholarship, “The Cody Thompson Sunshine Scholarship Fund” is given to one student that exemplifies all of the qualities that Cody had. The scholarship is given to one of our students who gives back to the community, assists at the studio in various ways and is also a hard worker and great mentor. The student must also be respectful of their parents, teachers and fellow students. The scholarship is awarded at the end of our dance recital. It is a beautiful glass award and a monetary gift in Cody’s honor for a child who exemplifies what Cody was all about. This scholarship is for a full year of dance, costumes etc. Scholarship funds are raised throughout the year by the fundraising committee, performance company, studio parents and the director and faculty.

Checks should be made payable to From A Dancer's Pointe and the memo should state Cody Thompson Scholarship Fund. All denotations are tax deductible and receipts will be provided. All donors will be mentioned in the recital program and various events that are held.
